This Privacy Policy describes how personal data of visitors and users of https://www.radicalsoundconnection.com/ (the “Site”) is collected and processed, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and the applicable Italian data protection law (Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended).

2. What data we process, why, and on which legal basis
2.1 Browsing and log data
The systems and hosting infrastructure of the Site acquire, during normal operation, some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet protocols: IP addresses, browser type, operating system, requested pages, time of request, response codes. This data is used exclusively to operate the Site, to ensure its security (abuse prevention, error diagnostics) and for aggregated, anonymous statistics.
Legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller (art. 6.1.f GDPR) in operating and securing the Site.
2.2 Data you send us by email (contact and music submissions)
The Site invites artists to submit their music and anyone to get in touch via info@radicalsoundconnection.com. When you write to us we process the personal data you decide to include: your email address, your name or artist name, links to your tracks and profiles, and the content of your message.
Purposes: reading and evaluating submissions, replying to messages, artist scouting and, where it comes to it, building a collaboration with you.
Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR) and legitimate interest in managing correspondence (art. 6.1.f GDPR). Sending us your data is entirely voluntary.
2.3 Analytics and event data (Google Analytics 4)
Only with your prior consent, the Site uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Ltd. It collects pseudonymous identifiers via cookies, device and browser information, approximate geographic area, pages visited and interaction events within the Site (for example scrolling, clicks on outbound links, engagement time). We use this data to understand how the Site is used and to improve it. IP addresses are not logged or stored by Google Analytics 4.
Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), given through the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer; the withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to it. Details on the cookies used are in the Cookie Policy.
2.4 Search performance data (Google Search Console)
We use Google Search Console to monitor how the Site appears in Google Search results. This tool provides us exclusively with aggregated data (queries, impressions, clicks) and does not install cookies on your device nor give us access to data identifying individual visitors.
2.5 Embedded content (Spotify players)
Some pages of the Site embed music players provided by Spotify AB. These players are loaded only after your consent to the “embedded players” category in the cookie banner. Once loaded, Spotify may process your data (including cookies and usage data) as an autonomous data controller, according to its own privacy policy.
3. Recipients of the data
Your data may be processed, strictly for the purposes above, by:
- the hosting provider of the Site, acting as data processor;
- Google Ireland Ltd (Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console);
- Spotify AB, for the embedded players, as autonomous controller;
- the provider managing our email services.
Personal data is never sold and never shared for third-party marketing purposes.
4. International transfers
Some providers (in particular Google LLC, parent company of Google Ireland) may process data in the United States. Such transfers take place on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision and, where applicable, of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
5. Retention periods
- Browsing/log data: retained for the technical periods set by the hosting provider, normally no longer than 12 months.
- Emails and submissions: retained for the time needed to evaluate and manage the correspondence and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless a collaboration is established.
- Analytics data: retained by Google Analytics 4 for 14 months.
- Consent records: your cookie choices are stored on your device for 6 months, after which the banner is shown again.
6. Your rights
Under articles 15 to 22 GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, obtain its rectification or erasure, restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, receive your data in a portable format, and withdraw any consent given at any time.
You can exercise these rights by writing to info@radicalsoundconnection.com. We will respond within one month.
If you believe your rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
7. Automated decision-making
No processing carried out through the Site involves automated decision-making or profiling producing legal effects on you.
8. Minors
The Site is not directed to children under 14. If you are under 14, please do not send us personal data. If we become aware of data collected from a child without valid consent, we will delete it.
9. Security
Data is processed with appropriate technical and organisational measures: HTTPS encryption on the whole Site, access controls on the hosting infrastructure, minimisation of the data collected, and consent-based loading of all third-party trackers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the Site or in the applicable law. The date at the top indicates the latest revision. Substantial changes affecting consent will trigger a new request through the cookie banner.
